During this uncertain time, Meddys is teaming up with other Wichita-area restaurants to help fill the food gaps in our community during this uncertain time. We have a coalition of local restaurants, non-profits, philanthropic businesses and individuals who are ready to help with these efforts. This group, that is growing daily, will be working with area schools, hospitals, day care centers and other organizations poised to help those who need it most to ensure that those in our community who do not have the means or ability to access meals each day, still receive the food they need.
This is a developing situation and more details will be made available in the coming days. In the meantime, we need your help to make this happen. With area restaurants moving to carryout only or closing completely, we will have plenty of kitchen space available, but will need assistance to cover the costs of food and supplies.
To that end, we have teamed up with our friends at ICT S.O.S. and created a GoFundMe campaign for this Feed Wichita – Pandemic Response Fund. The funds raised through this campaign will help us cover the costs of food and supplies needed to carry out our mission.
We know that everyone in our community is impacted by this situation but ask that if you are able to do so, please consider donating any amount to help us make sure no one goes hungry during this time.
We will get through this, together. Please join us we make every effort to take care of our neighbors.
