Faith and Family need a home
After overwhelming demand ,I am starting this Go Fund Me in hopes of helping my family. The Whig Standard has said that this is not a money issue but a housing issue. At first we had first and last saved up, Well unfortunately the housing issue has turned this into a money issue. Living in motels are not cheap! As a result of an unsuccessful medical procedure in 2018, our daughter, Faith was left severely brain damaged, unable to speak, blind, confined to a wheel chair and with many other difficulties. My wife also suffers from ongoing medical issues. Due to the severity of Faith’s condition and my wife’s physical issues and with 2 other children, I had no choice but to quit my job to help my wife care for my family.
My wife’s disability income is our major source of financial support but is limited. Over the last three years, we have been unable to obtain permanent housing that can accommodate our children, especially Faith with her disabilities.
As of May 1st, we became homeless. We are currently living in a small trailer in a private campground. Winter is coming and we are very concerned about the children’s welfare under these conditions.
I have made over 70 attempts to improve this situation but every request has been denied. Because of our financial situation and the medical problems, it is impossible for us to obtain a lease. With school about to start in the fall, we desperately need help to ensure our children can attend school. Without an address, decent accommodations and inadequate funds, we are relying on the generosity of the community to help us get through this extremely difficult crisis. Any help that you can provide to us now, would be greatly appreciated.
