Finding Our Power Together is a national Indigenous-led charitable organization whose mission is to end preventable death by suicide in Indigenous communities. We exist to support our people to not only survive, but to thrive. We are raising $100,000 to strengthen the foundation that sustains this life-saving work.

We work toward this goal by offering culturally grounded and evidence-informed programs and services, including counselling, traditional and cultural healing supports, and community programming. We work directly with communities and partners to deliver custom services and training. We conduct community-led research to address the conditions that make life unliveable and to advance meaningful systems change.

This work is rooted in Indigenous knowledge, relational accountability, and the inherent right of our communities to be well.

Since our founding in 2016 through a community-based research partnership with Nibinamik First Nation, FOPT has grown in response to community need. What began as a youth-led initiative has expanded to support Indigenous children, youth, adults, families, and whole communities across the country.

Demand for Indigenous-led suicide prevention and healing continues to grow. To meet this moment responsibly, our organizational capacity must grow alongside our programming.

For the first time, we are inviting our broader community to help us strengthen the infrastructure that sustains this work. Your contribution will help ensure that Indigenous children, youth, adults, and families can access culturally grounded supports rooted in care, culture, and community.

We rarely run public fundraising campaigns. Most of our work has grown through partnership, grants, and community collaboration. As we step into this next phase of growth, we are inviting those who believe in Indigenous-led solutions to walk with us.
