Here's how.

Sunita is a 16 year old young woman in a rural village in Nepal. She’s filled with dreams to live outside of poverty. One day, a stranger promises her a better future—education, a job in the city, or a love marriage...every girl's dream, a brighter life. Desperation makes the offer hard to refuse. Sunita leaves home with hope in her heart, thinking her dreams are going to come true.

But the promise is a lie.

Sunita, like many young girls in Nepal, is targeted by traffickers, lured into a life of exploitation in the sex industry, slave labour or organ trafficking. This is where Every Daughter Matters comes in. With minutes to spare before she becomes a HUMAN TRAFFICKING victim, we intervene.

At one of our thirteen border surveillance/interception booths, our trained teams spot the signs. They notice the fear in Sunita’s eyes and the man who won’t let her speak. Gently, they ask questions. They uncover her truth and stop the trafficking attempt before it’s too late.

Sunita will not be one of the 20,000 young women and children who are trafficked out of Nepal every year.

This is the heart of our mission: saving young women BEFORE they are trafficked, but our work doesn’t stop there.

Once rescued, we provide emergency accommodation, safe shelters with food, clothing, care, and emotional support. If possible, we help reunite families, bringing young women back to loving homes. For those who can’t safely return home, we offer education, vocational training, and micro-business opportunities to help them build independent futures at one of our Safe Homes.

Our mission also focuses on prevention. We visit vulnerable communities, teaching families how traffickers operate, empowering them to protect their daughters with knowledge and confidence.

Every month our team are intercepting between 100-150 young women like Sunita, giving them the chance to reclaim their future.
