Hello everyone,
We’re excited to introduce our new not-for-profit organisation: Roots of Hope CIC.
Our mission is to support individuals on their journey of healing and recovery following trauma and mental health challenges. Through meaningful, community-driven projects, we aim to promote dignity, wellbeing, and hope.
Over the past year, we’ve been developing our first initiative — The Community Clothes Cycle.
This heartfelt project invites members of the public to donate pre-loved clothing, which we carefully check, clean, and sort before delivering to in-patients on acute mental health wards across Chelmsford and surrounding hospitals within EPUT.
We’re so grateful for the generous donations we've received so far. These clothes have made a genuine difference to patients — bringing comfort, warmth, and a sense of care during a difficult time.
However, we often come across specific needs we cannot meet through donations alone — such as larger-sized clothing, shoes, or brand-new underwear. That’s why we’ve launched a GoFundMe page to help raise money to cover these essential items. Every contribution, no matter the size, helps us give patients the clothing they need to feel safe, seen, and supported as they begin their recovery.
Thank you to everyone who has supported us so far — we couldn’t do this without you.

With heartfelt thanks,
Amanda, Charlotte, and the team
