Today we are doing what everyone hoped we wouldn't have to do: raise money for legal fees and related legal expenses to be able to retain counsel to defend cases against members of our community for hundreds of thousands of dollars they do not have. These individuals (and free speech) are in need of your support.

The money raised will be used to support anyone in Centre Wellington being sued by KFC (Kat Florence Corporation) and/or any of their various entities, subsidiaries, affiliates, sister companies etc. Specifically, it will be used to pay legal costs directly related to lawyers’ fees and costs associated with related legal actions of those parties being sued.

The attorneys representing some of our neighbours, Dollak Law, have been kind and reasonable in terms of fees to them, and have been working to try to have these unjust cases dropped, but it appears that these cases may need to proceed to a motion before they are resolved (see the attorney comments https://www.wellingtonadvertiser.com/kat-florence-suing-residents-for-defamation-over-online-posts/) and we need to do our best to help.

The people who are being sued need and deserve your support. This is a David & Goliath moment for our town. Please share, donate what you can. All money raised will be used to fund legal costs in connection to these claims that have been brought against members of our community.

In the event the cases are dropped and/or further threat to our community is neutralized any unspent donations toward fees would be refunded.
