Efrem's 3ed and hopefully last heart surgery
Donation protected
Hello,
it's has been 3 years since his last procedure, and we need some help yet again.

Three years where Efrem has grown, started kindergarten, made friends and we have grown and created many memories but sadly Canada hasn't been the easiest transition, we are still on a work permit (I am on a work permit, my wife is on visitor record) since last time I have a new workplace (great people) but work is slow due to different circumstances and be it Canada when I do stay home, like the upcoming 3-4 weeks I will not be getting paid.
Worked changed and l work/drive only in Canada, and life is a lot more expensive than a few years back, I am sure all of us know it.
When my wife, Caramidaru Dumitrita, was four months pregnant, our son was diagnosed with a heart malformation called Congenitally Corrected Transposition of the greater arteries with a large inlet to outlet VSD (ventricular septal deviation). He underwent surgery when he was one month old to try to address the initial problem, but his condition is complicated by the VSD, which will require multiple interventions throughout his life. Fortunately, we have found extraordinary and friendly medical professionals at UZ Leuven in Belgium and BC Children's Hospital in Vancouver, BC to help us through this challenging journey.
In 2020 the decision was made that the solution will be a Glenn-Fontan procedure and the first step was done then 2020.
The procedure was done on 23ed of May 2023, which is the Fontan part, and is the third and hopefully last step of the process.
I work as a truck driver for Oceania Pacific in BC, Canada and I am paid by the mile, so if I don't drive, I don't get paid. (nothing against my current employees, that's just how it is in Canada I presume overall) With the rising cost of everything here in BC and around the world being financially stable has become even more difficult for me and my wife.
On May 23ed, 2023, our son had, what we hope it's his last heart surgery, and the recovery period will be extremely tough since now he is 5 years old.
Being a single-income family it hit us multiple times and we have been barely afloat all of these years (his 2020 surgery was just before the pandemic), rent is about 1500$, car+insurance 1000$, groceries we are trying hard to stay within a 1000$/month but it's hard, and all other small stuff (internet, phone plans, gas, on the road) 500$+ and we did not receive CCB (Canada Child Benefit) for a good while, last year was a complete disaster and every saving that we had went poof.
Things are looking up, but not in time for this time at home so in order for us to stay afloat we need this help, if you could kindly donate any small amount.
I appreciate your understanding, and I want you to know that even if you're not able to make a donation, your kind thoughts and words are still incredibly valuable and appreciated. Any show of support, no matter how small, can make a big difference and help lift our spirits during difficult times. Thank you for your kindness.
