Ebike Journey with Dog to Eradicate Homelessness

Donation protected
My ebike trek across America with my bulldog, Bella, will now have the meaningful purpose of eliminating homelessness in the United States of America. I have been thinking about this complex situation for many years, and I believe that if we all work together, we can solve this problem that has gotten way out of hand. If you read about my fundraiser, you will get an idea of what I have planned, and find my solution to this grievous and very sad predicament we have found ourselves in. Now is the time to start. The sooner we start the better off we all will be. Especially those in dire need of our help. I plan to visit some of these grief stricken areas of homelessness along my journey, and will keep you updated with video posts to Facebook and other social media sites. I will also keep you updated about our progress in helping these families and individuals that need our help so very badly. Let's make an effort to make a difference. Remember, we can only do this if we all work together. Thank you. Included is a video I created on YouTube. Let's help eliminate homelessness.          Let's set an example for the world. Let's help cleanup the streets of America, by providing assistance to virtually eliminate homelessness in this great country.   100 percent of the funding received will be deposited directly into a trust fund account, that I will personally attach to this Gofundme fundraiser. I will personally setup a non-profit organization that will strictly direct the use of these funds to help support and virtually eliminate homelessness in the United States of America.      Teams will be established in each city to build shelters that will provide EVERY NEED (food, housing, clothing, medical, counseling (psychological and spiritual), job placement and training, relocation, etc. etc.) for homeless families and individuals in need.       My bicycle journey across America with my American Bulldog, Bella, in an attempt to break the Guinness Book of World Records, for longest journey on a motorized bicycle (with a dog, new category) will now support and fund a greater purpose, and help address this grievous and seemlessly unsolvable but most important and complicated issue within our society, and within our inner cities and communities,             H-O-M-E-L-E-S-S-N-E-S-S. The current world record for longest journey on a motorized bicycle is 5,100.90 miles.  My goal is to travel 15,000 plus miles. At 63 years young, this will be quite an accomplishment.      I'm starting to convert my Schwinn DSB Hybrid bicycle to an electric bike, by installing a rear wheel conversion kit that I have recently purchased. I am planning to build the battery (52v 30ah) myself. Total daily distance could exceed 100 miles, depending how much I pedal along the way.      There are many other modifications that will be necessary to prepare this bicycle to travel this kind of distance, and many other accessories needed, including the camping gear I will need to begin this journey. I'm planning to be finished by spring, and ready to get On The Road.          I recently moved from Zephyrhills, Florida to Aiken, SC, because my dad, 87, had a fall, and was in the hospital. He's back on his feet now and doing well, except I still can't convince him to start using a cane. Stubborn like me.      I first plan to travel from Aiken, SC to Pensacola, Florida to visit my daughter Michelle. Then I'll head down to Zephyrhills, FL to be reunited with my American Bulldog named Bella, and visit my good friends Rich, Joe, and Ray (who has been caring for my dog the past few months). I plan to buy a dog trailer while I'm there, so I can pull my dog (My Bella Girl) behind me. She will be able to stick her head out through the roof of the trailer to watch the scenery and get that big air dogs love so much. I'm also considering building a frame above the trailer and putting a solar panel on top, so I can charge my battery as I'm going down the road.      Next, I plan to head for my home State of Vermont to visit my son Matthew and some old school friends. I've been wanting to visit there for many years, but my limited income on Social Security has prevented it. I miss my dog a lot. But I miss my son even more. I also have a grandson there named Carter, 2, that I have never met.      Well, after Vermont, I'm planning a big long trek back to Alaska. I'll be  looking up a few old friends there and most definitely be visiting the most majestic mountain range (Denali) in the Northern hemisphere. I'd like to take the ferry out of Bellingham, WA if funds provide for it, but will drive through Canada, the Northwest Territory, and the Yukon, as I did on my first trip there, if need be. I only plan to stay in Alaska for the summer, then I'll be heading back to the lower 48's, as they call them in Alaska. By this time, I will have already broke the world record.      Next, I plan to visit my long lost brother Randy in Phoenix, AZ, then go to see the Mardi Gras in New Orleans, which I've never had a chance to experience. From here I'll travel back to Florida and then back to my starting point, Aiken, SC.      The Guinness Book of World Record requirements are very stringent, and will require video recording (SD cards) during the entire time we are on the road. I'm hoping they will add a new classification that includes the longest distance traveled by a dog on a motorized bicycle.      I thank you all, for your kind and generous donations to this Gofundme fundraiser. These funds will help Bella and I get this journey started, and provide funding for our travels along the way. There will be significant expenses for us, even though we will be camping out, and will mainly be staying in a tent. I'm sure there are times I will want to stay in a motel or a hospital (lol - laughing out loud). My electric bike will need to be charged every night. That will take some additional thought and planning by itself. I better get in gear.        Please do not hesitate to provide me with any suggestions you may have, and any possible assistance you may have for us along our long trek and journey across this great and fabulous country, the US of A.      I will be sure to supply you with many photos and videos of our journey on Facebook and other media sites. Maybe I'll get some occasional TV coverage. Who knows.      I'm excited to get rolling.      Thanks again for all your support.      Be blessed y'all, as they say in the south.
