Lets Do Floor Work.....Pour Your Love Into the Umbrella Barn

This spring, we faced an urgent structural challenge: the support beams underneath our beloved Umbrella Barn needed emergency reinforcement. After nearly 40 years of holding us all, its foundation finally required urgent attention.

While we've taken crucial steps to stabilize the structure, there's still important work ahead—and we need your help to complete it.

What Needs to Be Done:

Replacement and reinforcement of critical support beams, floor joists, strapping and some insulation

Laying down a 100’ x 100’ plastic moisture barrier to control dampness under the barn and prevent future decay

Installing electrical systems for basic climate control and safe access

Adding lighting to support future inspections, maintenance, and repairs

Estimated Costs:

Beam replacement materials and labor: $12,000

Moisture barrier and ground prep: $3,000

Electrical and lighting installation: $4,000

Total Goal: $19,000
