Ethan's Eagle Scout Project

These funds will help me purchase the proper items I will need to help build my Eagle Scout Project. The money goes towards a new flagpole for Mercy's baseball field, a wireless sound system,  paint, supplies, along with benches behind homeplate for viewers and scorekeepers. It will also go towards reconditioning  of both dugouts.

To honor our national pastime, Mcgann Mercy High School  and I will begin a tradition were the National Anthem will be played before each game.  This is the first time in Mercy's Baseball History that the Flag and National Anthem will be part of every baseball game. I have had the opporunity to attend the U.S.  Air Force Academy Baseball Camp and I was extremely impressed with Coach Kazlausky teachings of the proper etiquette on the respect you give the National Anthem. I want to bring this concept to our baseball athletes and visiting teams at every game.

As a student at Mercy, I recognize that tax payer funds is not a luxury that the school is able to recieve. Over the years as a Boy Scout, I have learned to give back to the community, and Mercy is my community.  I believe my project will help other students who are not envolved in Boy Scouts to see how our slogan Do a Good Turn Daily  can be applied to their lives also.

I thank everyone in advance for their donations and I look foward to a successful fundraiser!
