SAVE the 'Drift' Bench
'Drift' has a chance for a permanent home in.....drum roll pleeze...MITCHELL PARK! This bench needs new digs in a place where everyone can enjoy it's bounty and beauty any time of day.
'Drift' Satellite Studio July 6th - 17th in Mitchell Park
Each summer, A.W.E. hires professional local artists to lead large scale public art projects with neighborhood teens. Kim Loper will be leading this Satellite Studio & Tanya Airoldi, Rob Zdanowski, Alison Andruss, Carmen High School students & neighborhood youth are all on her team to create a new narrative for 'Drift'.
Sit Comfortably in a Public Space
A $2,000 concrete slab is all that stands between all of us and a very special public seating installation. A.W.E. needs some extra dough to pay for 'Drift's' new concrete pad in Mitchell Park [truth is, we weren't budgeting for a slab when we first started, but now we know we gotta do it & we can't do it without your financial support].
If this campaign is a success & all goes as planned, celebrate with us at the completed bench, on July 17th, 12-3 pm in Mitchell Park. Thanks for your attention span to read this far & for your potential support!
