Founded in 2013, Our Brother’s Keeper is a faith-based, year-round emergency shelter serving men, women, and families experiencing homelessness from Mecosta, Osceola, Lake, and Newaygo counties.

We provide more than just a bed. We offer:

• Warm meals and safe lodging every night

• Case management and housing assistance to help guests rebuild stability

• Job readiness, budgeting, and life skills programs

• Mental health support and community partnerships that foster long-term success

This past year alone, OBK provided compassionate care and safe housing to 301 people, including 38 families and 59 children, many of them newborns and toddlers. With more than 10,600 bed-nights of shelter offered, OBK serves some of the most vulnerable members of our community: seniors, single parents, individuals with disabilities, and those facing unexpected hardship.

As a faith-based, 24/7 refuge, OBK depends on the generosity of people who believe in dignity, compassion, and second chances. Right now, all five family rooms at Our Brother’s Keeper Shelter are home to 13 children and their parents who have nowhere else to go.
