Please support me and help raise some money for a fantastic charity, the Dylan Alcott Foundation. This charity helps young Australians living with disabilities gain access to sports and build their confidence in a world that doesn’t always give everyone the same opportunities. As a tennis coach, new dad and general sport enthusiast, this cause felt close to home.

Personally, I’ve struggled with injury, especially since having hip surgery two years ago. While I’ve had to take a back seat on certain sports I love, other sports like triathlon have been an amazing replacement and kept me physically active and mentally sane! About a year ago I could barely swim 25m without gasping for air, had zero road bike experience and couldn’t run more than 500metres without stopping because of hip pain. Little can I believe it, 8 months on and I’m just two weeks away from racing the Port Macquarie 70.3 half Ironman.

In short, my story has no comparison to what people with disabilities face. So I feel extremely fortunate and blessed for my position and wish all people a better opportunity to do the things they love which keep them healthy and happy day to day.
