Hey friends! We have some big news... we are adopting!!

Through lots of prayer and time spent processing, God has opened the door for us to pursue international adoption. We have always wanted to raise a family together, and we could not be more excited, humbled, and grateful that our long (and sometimes very painful) journey to do that has led us here to the place of growing our family through adoption. We are seriously overjoyed! And we know that adoption is very close to God's heart and is also the same story of our own lives as well:

“In love, he has adopted us as his sons and daughters through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will." Ephesians 1:5

We are beyond excited and are doing everything we can to be prepared to welcome a beautiful new life into our home. As of January 2024, the Thai government has approved our adoption and we are taking the next steps in the process to get ready for travel!! We will have our exact travel dates sometime probably in March-April of 2024 but we know that we will be traveling sometime in the months of May-July. We plan to continually provide updates on social media, so stay tuned. :-)

It may surprise you to hear (it surprised us!) that international adoption costs can easily total up to $35,000 - $40,000 or more. We are making this our number one priority in our financial planning at this time through personal budget changes, extra work, and applying for adoption grants (Although we are unable to know or predict the amount, if any, we will be awarded in grants. Also, if we are awarded any grants, unfortunately, foundations don't disperse funds until right before we travel to take our child home, at which time is well past when a majority of the fees are due.)

We know that God will continue to provide for us how He sees fit, and we have complete faith that He will do that in His timing. We also wanted to invite others into this process as well. That is why we have set up this fundraising campaign with a goal of $15,000. We are so unbelievably grateful for the community that we have around us and we hope that by inviting you into this process, you will also see yourself as part of the community that we hope to build around our child as he grows up. We truly could NOT imagine doing this without the amazing family and friends that we have surrounding and supporting us.
