This is an emergency request. I have given Opio several thousand dollars in the last few months to help with his cancer treatment for his wife and for his treatment for his son Jimmy Jr Mweru, who has a hernia. I am asking this that others of my friends will help support the expenses for this family. I’m Jim Young. For the last 2 1/2 years, I’ve been discipling a young evangelist in Uganda. Opio Mweru’s 27 year old wife Faith, was operated on for ADVANCED STAGE BREAST CANCER SEPTEMBER 10th. A large mass was removed and Faith Mweru faces a long hospital stay and longer recovery. I have personally given SEVERAL THOUSAND DOLLARS to this young family. She is back in the hospital this week and has been admitted with severe pain in her breast. THE WEEKLY VISITS TOTAL ALMOST FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS. Of course there is no universal healthcare in Uganda. These weekly treatments need to be continued for six months.

Many expenses are needed for Opio to travel 30 miles back and forth to care for his two children including my godson, Jimmy Jr Mweru and his sister Rose. Please help with these expenses.

I’ve got to know his family and have spent a lot of time in video and messaging to help him grow in his faith. I shared my 18 lessons on discipleship. He has printed them out in the Luganda language and has gathered together several young men from the surrounding villages so he can teach them what it means to live the victorious Christian life. He was teaching them how to multiply themselves and grow his ministry in Uganda.

He lives in a grass hut with no electricity and no running water. The thatched roof leaks and it has to be replaced with new grass on a regular basis.

We have plans to build him a permanent house as soon as we get through these medical problems. I am amazed that more people do not respond to my request for help. I would ask that you would take this request before the Lord and see if he would have you help this worthy young family in Uganda.

Please help this young evangelist continue his ministry.
