Devastating Loss For This Mom To Be X 3, Charlene

It is with the heaviest of hearts I am reaching out to this community of friends, family and the kindness of strangers on behalf of my younger sister, Charlene Yehl.

If you have seen the news, you may be aware of the recent destruction and devastation in Highland Falls, NY due to the mass flooding that occurred Sunday July 9th.

My sister, Charlene, along with Isaiah Dean and their 2 children, Luca (6 in two weeks) and

Sevi (2 1/2) is also due to give birth to her 3rd baby (another little girl) next week!

Sadly, the massive storm has ripped through the only home my niece and nephew have ever known. With 8 feet of water inside, after a landslide in the backyard broke through windows, they have lost everything!

Her family cannot go back to that house. Anything that is left is basically damaged and everything will need to be replaced in some capacity. She can go into labor at any minute.. baby is down and ready, and she now has no home to go home to! They are currently staying in a hotel short term just to have a place to shower and sleep in between the clean up that is to come..

I feel helpless. I feel anxious for her and the babies. I can only pretend to know the stress that is consuming her every minute. This is truly sad and scary and her future is in limbo.

When the roads open, Isaiah's job requires long commute times and hours and that is difficult on a normal day but twice as hard when there's flood clean up and preparing for a labor and delivery plan!

Childbirth is hard enough without this added variable of being homeless and helpless and unsure how to provide peace and calm to 3 babies.. Where do you even begin??

Charlene is a HUGE part of the Highlands community as a Chamber of Commerce President, a food bank volunteer, an amazing Mom, Sister, Daughter and Partner.

She gives herself to her family and community daily and I'm begging anyone that is able to help her to please do so She needs help now more than ever and would never ask for it on this level. But I Am Asking ❣️ I know she's nervous, as we all are. This is so scary and unsettling on so many levels.

If you know her, you know her kids are EVERYTHING to her.. she always puts herself last and each day is filled with activities and days that bring joy and laughter to their little faces. I never want that light to dim, not in her and definitely not in them. Moments like this make pushing thru the darkness to that light very difficult but her spirit, strength are resilience are strong!

Their family needs to find housing (huge up front cost) asap, along with replacing any and everything for 2 kids and a baby being born into this tragic scenario!

Any amount that is donated will go to securing a new place to live, diapers, food, clothing and essentials etc. We haven't even begun to think about bills or random expenses. My unborn baby niece needs a warm home with lots of love and that's my focus.

My heart is broken and this would be a start to mending this pain and uncertainty that we all feel right now.
