Create Space for Community in Depew NY

We purchased the former Dom Polski building in Depew 18 months ago and are renovating it into a community center to serve the residents. When it's finished, the community center will house a low-cost laundromat, gathering space for community events, Matthew's Table free community dinners (expanding to offer more meals!), a computer center, space for accessing social services, job training, and a medical center. We are 100% dependent on the generosity of local businesses, individuals and civil organizations to fund the renovations. We have already replaced the roof and windows, built a complete kitchen, and are working on the laundromat. We are currently in urgent need of heat and a fire safety system at a total cost of approximately $50,000. This project is being completed by volunteers and the whole community is involved.
