HUCTW* member Mayli was fired on 2/6/18 after 10+ years' service at Harvard University, and following her complaints of discrimination, racist comments and sexual harassment from her boss. Mayli had faced criticism for reporting sexist and racist harassment from local managers, and the reason given for her termination was an obvious pretext: management wrote that she was being fired for coming to work 30 minutes BEFORE her shift started.

As nobody gets terminated for coming to work a little early, activists believe Mayli was terminated merely because she insisted on being treated fairly at work, and not harassed! Mayli is a first generation immigrant single parent of two, with a child in college, and she faces serious economic hardship , and could even lose her home.  Please contribute whatever you can!
