No Transmission Towers - Darley Power Fight
Donation protected
United against high voltage transmission towers
Darley Power Fight is group of residents in Darley, Coimadai and Merrimu. We are united against high voltage transmission towers passing through our backyard. It is proposed that Moorabool Shire will house close to 60 km of 85m high 500kV transmission lines and may also house the new terminal station.
We came together through the realisation the transmission line will divide a narrow corridor between Darley and the Lerderderg State Park; altering landscape character, causing widespread damage to critical habitat for threatened species, increasing fire risk to the Park and thousands of residents, destroy our visual amenity, harm local agriculture and will impact businesses and property values.
The Western Victoria Transmission Network Project (WVTNP) will completely desecrate, in a few years, what nature has taken millions of years to create.
Your generous donations will assist in running our campaign. The funds will go towards things such as printing for signs, banners, flyers, letters, and petitions, postage, marketing, advertising and campaign related activities.
We will be completely transparent about where your money is being used and will provide full details on the Darley Power Fight website.
