In February 2014 I will be traveling with International Surgical Mission Support (ISMS) to Kenya to volunteer with the Operation Kids team.
With this incredible group, I will be working in remote villages in western Kenya to support medical volunteers in providing immediate screening and cancer prevention treatments to women. We will also be conducting pediatric and maternal health outreach, life-saving surgeries, health screening, health education and disease prevention.
Many of the patients we will be helping would likely not receive medical care if not for the ISMS team. I am honored to be a member of the group and serve as an organizational and maternal health outreach volunteer.
Because all group fundraising efforts go directly to the cost of medical services for the mission, my goal is to raise $2000 which will cover my cost of travel for this mission. Thank you for your kindness and support in helping me get to Kenya!
