Dale, Gemma and Arlo support

Hello Everyone,

As some of you will know back in September Dale and Gemma had the sudden news that their newborn baby Arlo was suffering from a serious heart condition and has undergone numerous life saving operations. Dale and Gemma are now living in accommodation at Birmingham Children’s Hospital 24/7 and spend all day by Arlo’s side in the intensive care unit as he receives further life saving treatment.

Arlo has been on quite the journey, along with his parents Dale and Gemma they have now been in intensive care for 3 months and have been told to expect to be in hospital for months and months more. Arlo was born on 5th September and they will certainly be spending their first Christmas in hospital now.

A month ago Arlo was moved to a phase called 'parallel planning' where they plan for the worst but hope for the best but he continues to defy odds and amaze doctors with his strength and courage and he nor his family are giving up.

Although Dale and Gemma dont expect anything , it's undoubtedly expensive living away from home, ordering food, living off coffee and paying for costly city centre parking whilst still trying to run everything back home. I know they've been getting Arlo lots of toys and fancy dress outfits to keep spirits high.
