The Junior League of Douglas County (JLDC) is proud to launch our Little Black Dress Initiative, taking place October 6–10, 2025.
For one week, our members will each wear the same black dress every day to highlight the limited resources and choices many women face while living in poverty. This simple act sparks conversation and raises awareness of the challenges within our own community.
This year, all funds raised will go directly to the JLDC Scholarship Fund. Our goal is to provide ten $1,000 scholarships, two for graduating seniors at each of the five Douglas County high schools. We are excited to also be partnering with our local high school service organizations, where scholars will join us in raising awareness for this important cause. Together, we are inspiring the next generation to serve while supporting their future through education.
As our finale, JLDC’s Little Black Dress Initiative will be featured in Dillard’s Fall Runway Show October 25, 2025, at 1:00pm. We invite you to support our cause as we continue serving our community!
Thank you for supporting JLDC and our mission.
