Here’s the thing — no child should ever have to pack their life into a garbage bag.

But right here in our own backyard, across the Illawarra and NSW, hundreds of children in foster and residential care still do.

It’s easy to look overseas and want to help where the headlines are louder.

But sometimes, the greatest need is quietly sitting right here at home.

This Christmas, we’re partnering with Hope in a Suitcase to change that.

Together, we’re creating transition bags filled with comfort, dignity, and hope — so that every child entering care has something that’s truly theirs. Each bag includes essentials like a toothbrush, socks, journal, blanket, a small gift, and a note reminding them that they matter.

As a local business, we’ve committed to funding and donating a set number of these bags ourselves, but we wanted to do more — and give others the chance to be part of it too.

This fundraiser is our way of creating an opportunity for our community, clients, and friends to add onto what we’ve already set out to achieve.

We’re raising funds to purchase everything needed to fill these bags — the practical items, the personal touches, and the Christmas gifts that make each one special. Every dollar helps us fill another bag for a child in care right here in our community.

For most of us, those are everyday things.

For these kids, they mean belonging.
