D50 Thames Path Ultra Challenge
Donation protected
Hello! I've signed up for a 50k ultra marathon to celebrate(?!) my 50th birthday, assuming I live to make it. I'll be *absolutely flying* along the Thames Path from Fulham to Runnymede on Saturday 9 September, with my husband/personal comedian, Craig, in the hope of raising funds for two charitable organisations I care about deeply. The founders are remarkable humans and the dedication of everyone involved is inspirational. Here's a little about them...
Step Change Studios is an award-winning, pioneering dance company committed to making dance accessible for everyone. Providing dance classes in the community for all ages and abilities, including wheelchair and sight loss programmes, the aim is always to promote diversity and inclusion, as well as creativity, connection and wellbeing.
Under One Sky is a charity delivering dignity to our friends on the street through the distribution of food, clothing, toiletries and other essential supplies. The most important element of the work is human connection - having a conversation, listening with compassion - and bringing a little hope and joy.
If you think I'm deluded but would still like to make a donation - and whatever you can spare really will help - you can do so safe in the knowledge that you're supporting two very special causes. Thank you with all my heart. You'll also unleash your awesomeness for the world to see and may go forth with a feeling of profound smugness! All money raised will be divided between the two organisations equally and used to fund things like class space, equipment, essential supplies, and ongoing wonderful work.
