Help Us Gift Our Mom Her Dream Hot Tub for Her Birthday

Hello, this is Cynthia Leatherman’s kids Jacob and Merisa and we’re reaching out to you with a heartfelt request. This year, We want to do something truly special for our mom’s birthday, and we need your help to make it happen.

Last year, our mom’s birthday was a day filled with uncertainty and fear. On July 16th, she was in the ICU at Kaiser Riverside, fighting for her life in a coma and on a ventilator. It was day 30 of her battle against a severe lung infection, and the doctors gave us only a 10% chance of survival. But through the power of prayer, the unwavering support of friends and family, and her incredible strength, she defied the odds and pulled through. Today, she is well on the road to recovery, working hard to regain her physical and mental abilities and is nearly 100% healed.

This past year has been a challenging journey filled with countless tests, medications, injections, and rehabilitation. The emotional and financial toll has been significant, with medical bills piling up as my parents navigate this difficult time.

One thing that has always brought our mom joy is the idea of having a jacuzzi hot tub. For as long as we can remember, she has dreamed of having one. Since her recovery, that desire has only grown stronger. A hot tub would not only provide her with a soothing escape but also help her relax and heal after everything she has been through. Unfortunately, our parents are unable to afford this investment right now, especially after a year filled with hospital visits and medical expenses.

We initially thought we could surprise her with a hot tub, but quickly realized that the costs are much higher than either of us had anticipated. The total expense for a quality jacuzzi hot tub, including installation, electrical work, water drainage, and a concrete pad, comes to around $13,000 and were hoping to raise close to $10,000 of that total.

That’s why we’re turning to you, the wonderful community that has shown so much love and support for our mom over the past year. We are graciously asking for your help to raise the funds needed to make her dream a reality.
