Hello everyone, we. are back this year to make a positive impact in the community of Cudahy during the holidays. Cudahy En Marcha's 5th Annual Christmas Toy Giveaway was almost not going to happen. However, this year reminded us that it is needed more than anything. Our toy drive mainly services children from a specific mobile home park in Cudahy and many families were/are facing evictions. As a reminder, our prime objective is to fund a catered Christmas wishlist of children, since this isn't a regular toy drive. A few days before Christmas we turn in the gifts to the kids, provide resources, photos with Santa or the Grinch, arts and crafts, yummy food, and live music. We have also included children in the city that have experienced a tragedy in their family like a loss or a deportation as well as children from the special needs community but this year we're focusing a little bit more on families on the brink of being displaced. This toy giveaway is in honor of long time community activist Lupita Martinez and former Cudahy councilman Chris Garcia. In order to continue this work, this is our third year going public via gofundme, we ask for you to donate what you can if you have the means to do it or share this with friends, family, coworkers, or on your social media to encompass a lot of kids and put a smile on their faces this Christmas.
