Brayden Watkins Eagle Scout Project

Hi, I am Brayden Watkins, a Boy Scout from Troop 1989. 
When I reached the rank of Life Scout and began looking at ideas for my Eagle Scout Project, I was told to pick a project that would continue to resonate with me years down the road. However, when my Grandmother passed away a year and a half ago, my life stood still, and thoughts of completing my project evaded my mind. One of the most important women in my life, with an exuberant love for children and a smile that could make your day, had been taken away from me.
As I began moving on from this rough patch in my life, I tried to think of a service project to complete in honor of my grandmother. Coincidentally, the church that my Grandparents had attended ever since their move to Greenville, Texas, back in  2004, moved to a new campus a little over a month ago .  While it is a great, beautiful campus, there is one thing lacking: a children's playground.  What a better way to honor my Grandmother, who loved children and couldn't help but stop and talk to every single baby she saw in public. Thus, I am taking on the duty of building a playground for the kids of Creekside Church of Christ, which includes not only the playground set, but playground edging and rubber mulch for the playground as well.
