Beloved Community! Please read the Register Guard article and my FB posts which detail the hate crimes that have happened to my family over the last year - escalating on July 16th.

I am fundraising in order to equip our house with an updated security system and also to build a Community Safety Art Zone Against Hate on my property. It includes hiring 2 BIPOC artists, art supplies, and community art events. Please donate a maximum of $8 per person. This is a community project. We want it to involve as many people as we can. If 225 people donate $8 each, we will be able to fully fund these two goals!
I have been thinking about moving out of Eugene and Oregon every day after my house and my family were targeted 3 times in one month last year. I barely went out to walk around the neighborhood because I didn’t feel safe. The police didn’t follow up with our cases. I made public comments at the City of Eugene City Council meetings about what happened to me and none of these officials even acknowledged my comments and experience.
However, I have decided to stay in Eugene and build a community after my house and my family were targeted for the 4th time last Friday, July 16th because I have been receiving so much community support. My resilience comes from overwhelming community love and presence. I want to extend the visible safe community zone to other marginalized populations like me. I want them to know there is a safe place in our community to connect. We keep us safe.
This community safe art zone will be hiring 2 BIPOC artists to lead this community art project. We will have all art supplies ready by this weekend. The community events will be held on July 25th and 26th. I will send further details.
