Clean Water Projects~ Ghana & Lakota Communities

Tax deductible
Clean Drinking WaterNow Projects for Bisigu, Ghana and a Lakota Community:

Hi,  my name is Karuna,

I'm the CEO of WaterNow. Water is in a current crisis globally, as 800 Million people do not have access to pure water, and 2,200 children are dying every day as a result of waterborne diseases.   WaterNow is a non- profit in service the past 5+ years, completing 188 projects serving over 55,000 people in 11 countries to help change these facts.   We are honored to launch this campaign for clean drinking water for 6,000 people in Bisigu, Northern Ghana and for a Lakota Community in Rosebud, South Dakota, USA.

Our Call to action is to raise $55,000 for these high impact projects in order to improve water infrastructure  and purchase necessary materials such as:  (4) water storage tanks, (2) water filtration units, plumbing pipes, (3)-hydration stations, (2) solar pumps and panels, and (5) sanitation stations.  Our projects empower these communities by employing local talent and labor, creating not only healthier lives but stronger water infrastructure, and vibrant local economies.

Please read about our 2 current initiatives:

We are working alongside a traditional Lakota Nation Community in Rosebud, South Dakota to provide clean running water infrastructure.  Running water has long been an issue in many Native American communities, affected by contamination of traditional sources, and climate issues.  This project is for the residents and visitors who support and perform the traditional Sun Dance ceremony each year on their reservation. Currently water is hauled from long distances, and often challenging to bring, and not sustainable.

WaterNow will provide rainwater catchment tanks to store the water, a UV filtration system to be installed for the communal kitchen, a washing station and hydration drinking  stations to be donated to the iconic Crow Dog’s Paradise community.   100% of donations will go directly to the elders of this First Nation community.

The people in Bisigu village,  Ghana have lived 50 years without access to clean water. They often travel for many kilometers to the nearest source; and end up drinking from muddied rainwater that carries disease.  After failed attempts by government; WaterNow has been working closely with a leader of this large village, Mr. Maurice Morris,  to find the best solutions to implement.

We will install water systems (Rainwater harvesting, Water filtration, water station structures, sanitation stations and a deep water well in phase 1 of this project. These solutions will empower the Women and children who are tasked with fetching the polluted water, enable animals to have access to clean water, and will bring health, vitality, and hope to 6,000+ people over the next 10-20 years.

We are on the ground working hand in hand with Indigenous and under-served communities, supporting them towards regenerative water and sanitation systems. Our mantra is Water is a Unifier, as we merge technology harmoniously with cultures that have been affected by local and global industrialization, climate change, and pollution.  We will persevere and keep our service focused on restoring harmony with our most precious and healing element- WATER.

We are in deep gratitude for your support which is 100% tax deductible.
If you wish for your donation to go to a specific water project, please add #Ghana or #Lakota to your donation.  Otherwise the proceeds will be split per the budgets of these projects; and All other current projects such as in Mexico, Kenya and Amazonian Brazil.
