Clayton Little League is growing rapidly and we need your help! We had an increase of 15% in spring registrations and another 18% for fall. While this is great for the league, this growth puts a heavy strain on the fields we use. We are looking to raise money to help fix up the fields at Clayton Middle School. The fields need a major overhaul due to safety concerns and to improve playability. Our specific plans are outlined below. We have received a grant from Johnston County for $6,000, which covers just over half the cost. We need to raise additional money to ensure that this work is done properly. Please consider donating to Clayton Little League so we can improve field safety, prepare the fields for growth and better serve the kids of Clayton. Donations are tax deductible as Clayton Little League is a 501(c)(3).
What will your donation help fund?
Baseball mix dirt - We need 120 tons of dirt!
Sod cutting & repair - Removal of the lip around the edges of the outfield of both fields and around the infield of the baseball field
Leveling the field to improve drainage
Additional goals if enough funds are raised:
Fertilizing and overseeding fields
Turface calcined clay material
Fence repair and adjustments around dugouts
Tarps to protect around the bases
Lights - this is a long term goal!
With your help we can make the fields safer and improve the baseball experience for all our kids.
Please share this on social media to help spread the word. Thank you for your support!
