Hunger in our hometown is an unfortunate reality many of our neighbors struggle with. That’s why Nuvision Credit Union is doing our part through our Help Fight Hunger Food Drive now through October 16, 2026, collecting financial donations for The Children's Lunchbox.

Nuvision will match donations dollar for dollar, up to $5,000. Together with your support, we can provide relief to individuals and families in Alaska.

The Children’s Lunchbox, a program operated by Bean's Cafe, originated with a dedicated emphasis on enhancing child nutrition and addressing food security concerns. Over time, their mission has expanded to support entire families. They offer a diverse range of nourishing options, including fresh and non-perishable meals packed in pantry boxes.

These boxes are distributed through local community programs in Alaska tailored to serve both children and families. Prepared meals are delivered to partner sites, ensuring that the essential nutritional support reaches those who need it most. Each pantry box provides a breakfast, lunch, or dinner meal for a family of four and is given out in multiples to feed the whole family. They service over 16 different schools and programs and prepare 6,811 meals a month.
