Help Save Cataleya: A Mother's Plea for Her Daughter's Life

Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Strangers,

My name is Klaudia, and I'm reaching out with a plea for help for my precious daughter, Cataleya. She is only 6 years old and has been battling stage 4 neuroblastoma. Our journey has been incredibly tough, and we are now in urgent need of your support.

We are trying to raise money to fly Cataleya to Italy for an experimental treatment that offers her the best chance at survival. As a single mum, I simply cannot afford the costs on my own.

We used to live in London, UK, but the NHS failed us. Every time I took Cataleya to a walk-in clinic or hospital emergency, they couldn’t tell me what was wrong with her. They suggested she had hurt herself playing, had anemia from a poor diet, or was suffering from a virus or bacterial infection.

Desperate for answers, I took Cataleya to my home country of Poland. On our very first visit, doctors suspected cancer, and after additional tests, it was confirmed: stage 4 neuroblastoma. The cancer had spread to her liver, lymph nodes, bone marrow, and bones. Doctors told us that without immediate treatment, she might die within two weeks.

Since then, Cataleya has undergone eight rounds of chemotherapy, an operation that removed 90% of the tumor by her kidney, a cell transplant, radiotherapy, immunotherapy, and more. Despite these efforts, her cancer spread to her head, requiring two more operations, additional chemotherapy, and radiotherapy. Now, we are nearly finished with our last rounds of chemo and immunotherapy. Cataleya is clean everywhere except for a 2cm tumor by her aorta, which is too small to operate on and unresponsive to proton therapy. Our only remaining option is CAR T-cell therapy.

Unfortunately, Cataleya’s father never wanted to be with us, so we only have each other. I need to be with her constantly, which means I cannot work. We are asking for your support, no matter how small, to help us afford this life-saving treatment in Italy.
