2nd Annual Camp Agri Art in Ferrier, Haiti

The Haitian Croissant Foundation   is a budding non-profit organization founded in May, 2021 by founder Ayida Sole Nazaire. Our mission is to help improve overall social, economic, and agricultural conditions in Haiti, with a more specific focus on the improvement of those conditions for the children and community in Ferrier, Haiti. Ferrier is an undeveloped commune on the outskirts of Cap-Haitien bordering the Dominican Republic.

 

Our major accomplishment is organizing our first camp, Camp Agri Art. Camp Agri Art is the first Agriculture & Arts Camp founded by The Haitian Croissant. Our First camp was held in Ferrier, Haiti in Summer 2021 a week after the sudden assassination of Haiti's President. We hosted a 2 day camp for 23 young minds. It was truly a transformative experience, for both our organization and the children. We are now raising funds to host our second camp for the children. This year our goal is to host a 4 day camp, with more activities and resources to provide to the youth.

 

Our theme this year is collaboration. We hope to collaborate with local and outside entities to fulfill our goal of helping the children and community of Ferrier, while promoting the importance of self-sufficiency and collaboration.

 

Our long term vision is to build our campsite in Ferrier, Okap. We have secured the land and want to begin building as soon as possible. We want the campsite to be a place to gather and provide jobs for members of the community. In addition, we want to be able to provide scholarships and school supplies to the children of the community. We hope to double the amount of children this year given the necessary volunteers, resources and funds raised.

 

Last year, in two short months, with the generosity of our community we raised enough to help our community.  No donation is too small, and any donation is appreciated with the warmest of hearts.
