Homeless veteran delivers his baby in their car

This man has served our county and just needs a little help to get on his feet and a stable home environment for his new baby and wife.

Caleb Harris served in the US Forces, and was going to college and working when COVID-19 hit.

His courses went online, but he did not have a laptop, so he lost the GI Bill money he was getting to go to school.

His wife was pregnant with their first baby and 28 year old, Caleb’s job at the moving company isn’t enough to pay the bills anywhere. He applied for section 8 housing and veterans programs but the wait lists are so long for assistance and they were forced to begin living in their cars.

His wife being 8 1/2 months pregnant, starting feeling contractions in the early hours and by the time she woke Caleb up, her water was already broke and the placenta and baby on the way out. By the grace of God, with the help of paramedics on the phone, a healthy baby boy was born.

Thru project room key, they were able to get a hotel by the time mom and baby were discharged from the hospital. This is only a temporary fix for them. Please let’s help them with a stable place and the means to provide for new baby Gabriel and themselves
