PLEASE HELP DEFEND THE LEGACY OF A MAN WHO HAS SACRIFICED SO MUCH AND NEEDS YOUR HELP TO PUSH BACK ON THE INJUSTICE OF CITY POLITICS AND ABUSE OF POWER:
This story is about age discrimination and irrefutable damage done to his reputation.
Thank you all for your time and consideration to this cause.
His story isn’t so unusual or unheard of, but it is compelling and relatable to so many that have been impacted so deeply by another individual(s). This Go Fund Me was created to aid in covering legal fees and rebuilding his reputation that are projected to cost $100,000. Labor Attorneys must fight hard for change and to correct things that are inherently wrong.
Jay has been a dedicated public servant for 35 of his 58 years. 33 of those years for a single community. Most have heard stories in the workplace of the bully supervisor with clashing personalities, and the positions that come with too much power. His story will resonate due to the nature in which the treatment he received is unprecedented and the legal action must be taken to change how the people are treated in the workforce.
When you listen to the press conference below you will learn the gravity of the situation that he is facing. One person against his political opponent, a mayor that may have an agenda or may not, but the simple fact is that the mayor discredited Jay, the city’s Chief of Police, with a single press release. This one paragraph statement released to the press offered no context to the allegations. What it did accomplish was an assassination of Jays character with speculation of criminal wrong doings. Exampled by the vile comments on social media about pedophilia and stereotyping the wrongdoings by the police are a few.
Those that truly know Jay and have been touched both personally and professionally by his devotion to making the world a better place will surely want him to continue his legacy to do the right thing. Jays Law Enforcement career and his contributions are numerous, and he has sacrifice do much of his life for the betterment of mankind. Here are some of those contributions:
• State of Wisconsin highly decorated and award winning K9 Handler.
• State of Wisconsin Training Officer of the Year.
• President of the Wisconsin Law Enforcement Canine Handler Association (WLECHA) for over 10 years and devoted 22 years total to the Association. Upon becoming President more than 20 years ago, he transformed the Associations yearly conference into a working conference allowing Wisconsin Police and Sheriff Department K9 handlers and their K9 partners to work/train with all other handlers throughout the State of Wisconsin. Membership went from 40 to now over 300.
Jays’ strong belief in the power of police dogs increased Greenfield to now have 3 patrol K9’s and implemented a Comfort/Therapy K9 program in both the Whitnall and Greenfield School Districts. Besides recognizing the need for patrol canines in the community to keep the community safer, he recognized the power of dogs and what they could do to help our students in Greenfield. The program has had success story after success story.
Jays’ dedication to the City of Greenfield was again displayed as he co-chaired a Greenfield Police Golf Outing for over 17 years. More than $300,000.00 was raised over the years which provided Greenfield citizens with 12 police canines, various K9 training schools and equipment, veterinarian costs, donations to various disasters throughout the USA like victim assistance when Hurricane Katrina struck and others within Greenfield and the State of Wisconsin.
Jay recognized the increasing danger to our schools and spearheaded a project that provides the Criminal Investigative Bureau with real time access by creating a giant 9 panel Command Wall which allows investigators to have access to all the cameras in both school districts and have immediate intelligence in the event of an active threat against our children. His collaboration with the IT Staff allowed this to be built at a minimum cost for the city’s taxpayers.
Jay also recognized an ever-increasing digital age and the need for our own Digital Forensics Lab. Due to the costs, he and the IT Staff invited other jurisdictions to join and share the costs. Due to his guidance, our children are safer from our children becoming a victim of child pornography and assisting investigations in our digital world. This year he was recognized by the Wisconsin Department of Justice for his leadership but was denied attending the ceremony by the mayor.
I could go on and on about Jays contribution to Greenfield and the State of Wisconsin. He truly loves his community and has devoted his life to making Greenfield a better place.
Jay has never received any type of disciplinary action against him in his 33 years and was asked to retire as he is eligible at his age. This fight is about preserving his legacy. This action is to right the wrongs. This story is about age discrimination and irrefutable damage done to Jays reputation. He now needs help to fight the atrocities and will need to hire a company to rebuild his reputation due to the damage that has been caused.
