CFFC Our Store

Donation protected

THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO HAS DONATED! Every single donation has been instrumental in helping us move forward. And the store is now OPEN! We're sorry that it has taken so long for us to send updates, but we have been so busy with the construction and move and stocking and staffing of the new space. But, WOW, does it feel good to be in one place, and a place so welcoming, where we can all linger and spend time getting to know one another.

We still have a long ways to go to cover the cost of the plumbing and electrical work, which was far more extensive than originally projected. And the work on the building itself is far from finished. But the new store is CLEAN and FRESHLY PAINTED and BRIGHTLY LIT! We have curtains in the window, internet and a telephone, and -- most importantly at this time of year -- WARMTH.

We're going to keep reaching out for funds, so please consider sharing this page with a friend or family member who you think might contribute. It's a really good cause. We're building something -- all of us, together -- that we hope will last for a long time to come. A place for the community to come together and to grow together.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!

From all of us at the CFFC!

=====

The Chenango Family Food Coop (CFFC) has built membership and stock over the last two years and is currently working to move to a permanent home. Please help us raise the funds to establish our home base at the former Eikes restaurant - a community staple where people came together for the last 64 years. By moving to the new site CFFC will be able to expand our products, offer a variety of community involved activities and revitalize an important historic gathering place.

The CFFC started on May 25, 2020 by a group of friends that felt good, healthy, locally sourced, high quality & unique bulk foods should be available to our community at fair prices. CFFC opened its doors on July 24, 2020, offering local products and supporting regional farmers, producers, processors & suppliers. The little red barn next to La Maison Blanche bakery on Route 12, south of Norwich, NY served as this place of exchange until now. The barn lacks adequate electric, insulation and storage which limited our selection of products to non-perishable items.

Our membership has grown to support a formal structure as a member-owned cooperative. The CFFC is committed to long term sustainability and will re-invest all profits back into the Co-op and into our community. Please help us grow and support our community of local farmers and producers, the health of our community and the environment.
