In the wake of rising concerns about youth safety, Croydon Community Action Guardians (CCAG) was formed to provide a reassuring presence for young people during their school commutes. Our dedicated volunteers patrol key routes, offering support, guidance, and intervention when needed. Over the past year, we have built strong relationships with schools, parents, and young people, creating a safer and more connected community.
Why Our Patrols Matter
Our visible presence helps deter anti-social behavior, provides a trusted point of contact for young people, and offers immediate assistance when needed. The positive impact of our patrols has been widely recognised by residents, schools, and local authorities. Many parents have expressed relief knowing their children have an extra layer of protection, and young people themselves have told us they feel safer and more supported on their journeys.
How Your Donations Help
As a volunteer-led initiative, we rely entirely on donations and grants to sustain and grow our patrols. Every contribution helps us cover essential costs, including:
✅ Training & Development – Equipping volunteers with safeguarding, conflict resolution, and first aid skills.
✅ Enhanced DBS Checks – Ensuring all patrol members are properly vetted for the safety of our young people.
✅ Patrol Equipment – Providing high-visibility jackets, radios, and first aid kits.
✅ Operational Costs – Covering admin, recruitment, and coordination efforts to expand and maintain our patrols.
Be Part of the Solution
Your donation, no matter the size, will help us continue this vital work and expand our reach to protect more young people across Croydon. With your support, we can train more volunteers, patrol more areas, and provide a stronger safety net for our community.
Donate today and help us keep Croydon’s young people safe.
