OUR CAMPAIGN
BUILD FUTURE SUCCESS seeks to raise $300,000 to make much-needed repairs to our recently purchased facility located at 6501 Stanley Avenue in Berwyn. To date, more than $213,000 has been secured through community and partner contributions. This support confirms that our neighbors value Youth Crossroads’ work and are committed to being there for our community’s youth. Through this GoFundMe effort, we seek to raise $25,000 towards our overall goal.

WHY IT'S IMPORTANT
The new center will offer long-term stability for the organization, as well as improved access for youth and families seeking services. A wide range of new, creative programs will become available due to large group meeting facilities including parent education workshops, youth entrepreneurial projects, and community organizing activities. Staff and student interns will finally have private offices for confidential conversations with youth and families. Staff will have the technology to effectively manage program data collection and community outreach.

Through community partnerships and the support of generous donors, Youth Crossroads has a profound impact on the community and its youth. During the most recent fiscal year, Youth Crossroads:

• Supported and empowered nearly 1,500 individuals through various programming;

• Delivered more than 54,000 hours of direct service;

• Conducted several local and out-of-state college tours for high school students;

• Provided school-based counseling to over 500 students at Morton High School District 201 and Berwyn School District 98; and

• Ensured a crisis counselor is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to provide services for run-away and locked-out youth.

OUR MISSION & IMPACT 
Youth Crossroads’ mission is to act in the best interest of youth, guiding them through life’s challenges, and inspiring them to discover new opportunities for personal development, healthy relationships, and positive community involvement. 

Youth Crossroads provides a wide range of supports including counseling, crisis intervention, school/community-based trauma response and prevention programs, after-school enrichment, and youth leadership development. We are now leading and coordinating ground-breaking trauma training to local police departments, educators, and parents to teach them about the impact trauma has on youth. In addition, we collaborate extensively with local school districts, government agencies, police departments, and other human service organizations to connect with youth in need of assistance and ensure they receive appropriate care.

Our staff works with each individual and family to identify their needs and create a path toward improving their situations. To ensure that those who would most benefit can easily partake in programs, all services are bilingual and provided at no-cost to participants.
