Replace Exercise Park in Crescent Field, Dover NJ

Please join us in this community project to fund a new exercise park at Crescent Field. The new exercise park will benefit everyone from our seniors to our youth. Our community deserves free resources for healthy and active living, unfortunately the current state of the excercise park no longer serves that purpose. The current excercise park is run-down, missing parts/pieces, which can be very dangerous. Dover is underserved, we are one of the poorest towns in Morris County, we don’t have a community center or a YMCA were our youth can go work out. This revamped park along with our commitment to teach free work out classes will be beneficial to our town.
When we started this community project we first met with the town administrator, Mr. Bennett to discuss plans on what is required to make this happen. Mr. Bennett confirmed that there is money in the town budget to pay for the installation of the park. The town will cover installation and we will cover the equipment, new pull up bars, new dip bars, and new ab-benches.
We cannot do this by ourselves we need your help, please help us with this project that will give back to the community for many years to come.
Finishing this park will give our people a free and friendly place to exercise! And with how hard Dover was affected by Coronavirus, health is of the most importance in our community.
My partner, LaVogue Berry and I grew up here and are still Dover residents, we are committed to raise up our community. Part of our commitment is to teach free public exercise classes at this park once the exercise park is in place.
We have estimated that the park will cost 15k— we currently have 2k raised. and so we turn to you all, to help us with this initiative. Please join us in giving back to the town that has given us ALL so much!

Here are some photos of the park currently, as well as the prospective design for the park— provided by calisthenics equipment company, Kenguru Pro! As you can see, in the first picture, drainage systems from the town have eroded a path through the park which damages the foundation for the equipment. In the second you can see that a pull up bar is completely missing (still is, and its not the first time)— which are a few of the reasons why this park needs to be replaced.
