Heartbreaking Loss Help Support The Family of Brian Freistat

Hello, my name is Sky, Brian's stepson, and I am starting this GoFundMe on behalf of Brian & our family. As most of you know, my mom has a hard time asking for help, so I wanted to help in any way I could. This was started to help our family with the funeral costs so that we may lay Brian to rest peacefully.

On December 19, 2024, it is with a heavy heart that I announce my family lost Brian Freistat. Brian passed away at the young age of 49. He was an amazing stepfather who left behind a loving wife, a caring daughter, & a huge heartbroken family. He was a wonderful stepfather who loved me like his own.

Let's face it, Brian was a little special. We could never quite figure out what type of "special" he was, so everybody just kind of accepted it & loved Brian for being himself! You never knew how special his magic touch was in life until he was gone. His greatest gift in life was that he was a social butterfly & made everyone in his presence feel special! One of the biggest "people persons" in the world. His joy in life was to bring smiles & laughter everywhere he went.

There was nothing Brian loved more than people! Working sales throughout his lifetime brought out his personality. He loved meeting new people & making connections anywhere he went. As we read in another post, someone said, Brian could sell a ketchup popsicle to a woman in white gloves. That sums up Brian really well. He made sure to check on all of his people regardless of what the situation was. He was a spectacular person who wanted only the best for you.

Although Brian did love people, on his off days you could catch him rooting for his favorite football teams, the Kansas City Chiefs & Oklahoma Sooners. We even let him name our new cats Boomer and Sooner. For vacations, you could catch Brian at his favorite place to party, Las Vegas! Brian lived his life like a high roller, living his life to the fullest!

As this passing was very sudden and unexpected, it has taken a toll on our family. All donations will go towards the cost of the funeral & any additional services. Our family thanks you for your support during this hard time. The service for his funeral has yet to be determined. We will keep you guys updated. We're aiming for around the first of the year.
