With heavy hearts, we share the heartbreaking news of the Walden family's profound loss in the passing of William (Billy) Walden, loving husband to Katie and devoted father of two boys, Max and Liam. Billy was the life of the party and brought joy and warmth to the lives of those around him. To know him was to love him. His infectious laughter and genuine kindness left a permanent mark on the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him. He never ended a call without an "I love you" and ensured those around him knew they could ask him for anything. He was truly one of a kind and he is deeply missed already.
For those who've stood by the Walden family, providing support over the years, especially in caring for Liam, witnessing the challenges they've faced, the weight of this tragedy is deeply felt. Adding to the complexity, Katie is now taking on the emotional and physical responsibilities caring for their youngest son, Liam, who is battling Battens disease, a neurodegenerative condition, all while navigating the grieving process for Billy.
In this time of immeasurable grief, your support holds the power to make an impactful difference. This GoFundMe has been created to assist the Walden family in navigating the financial challenges that have arisen from this heartbreaking situation.
Another way to give back is through their Meal Train which helps Katie especially during weeks when they travel to Chicago for Liam's treatment.
Anthony Blacker, Katie's brother, is listed as the beneficiary for this fundraiser.
