This “Go Fund Me” is for Beti - my mom - a Missionary in the border region of El Paso, TX – Juarez, MX.   Her car, a  Chevy Cavalier 2005 broke down (again) yesterday March 30th. This is to raise funds for the car she needs.

In 2007 she decided to leave behind her successful career in the business world to dedicate herself to God’s ministry. She holds a Master's Degree from Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester NY and is taking her last class towards her Ph.D. in Theology.  Currently, she is the director of JHOP (Justice house of prayer) in Both El Paso TX and Juarez Mexico. 

 She works in the Southern Border of the TX region with Mexico, also known as the "El Paso/Juarez Corridor."  Various agencies, including the Drug Enforcement Administration and Homeland Security, have reported most drugs that cross the border come through this corridor including 90% of cocaine. Human trafficking also exists at a very high level across this corridor.

That is why this ministry -JHOP- exists, this is why Beti does this...

* Beti and her team coordinate prayer in the city with Bound4LIFE, a national grassroots prayer mobilization movement targeting the ending of abortion and the increase of adoption.

*JHOP  is a partner with Guidingstar, a Pro-Life ministry that offers pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, and information on parenting and adoption, all free of charge. They also offer free parenting classes, assistance (diapers, wipes, baby clothes, maternity items, etc.), and a variety of support groups for men and women, including post-abortive healing, mentorship for men, marriage recovery, and support for women.

* They host prayer meetings for border cities, the unborn, businesses, the US economy, the Educational System, Israel, and raise awareness in the community for the end of human trafficking.

* She coordinates logistics, plans conferences and mission trips to Mexico, and city-wide events in El Paso and Juarez working together with Pastors of both cities. This includes helping impoverished children and a local dining Ministry that feed the poor.

*  Beti does not have a salary from the organization that she serves so wholeheartedly. So who pays her salary? God! Through people who donate monthly for her support.

*  So…this GoFundMe is to raise $3,500 USD to purchase a used car in good condition. She needs a reliable vehicle to go back and forth through the border, from city to city, from one country to the other for the work she does in the border and for everyday life! Her current car (Chevy Cavalier 2005) with over 180,000 miles is in very bad mechanical condition and broke down (again) on March 30th. When I spoke with her, she said the car no longer responds to the gear shift.  At this point, the repairs are worth more than the car.
