Residents of Belfont, Catadupa , St James, Jamaica, are in complete devastation. This village is a hard to reach area, away from any other town. There is no aid available nearby. All of the roads are blocked, animals gone and it takes 5 hours to reach a shop. This is an isolated area in Jamaica.

This is the village in Jamaica where my great grandparents and grandad comes from. Unfortunately, all of the wooden structures, housing my family, have been lifted by the hurricane. The main concrete house has also lost its roof and was flooded up the drawers. Some family members are still sleeping in the car.

Displaced families include my 92 year old great grand uncle
(my grandad's uncle), and my grand auntie who struggles to walk due to illness. The villagers fear that food stocks will run out soon. They also need shelter from the weather.

Please give minimum £5 if you can. We need the help as this will be a massive project to enable four different families shelter. We want to start by putting the roof back onto the main concrete house or building a wooden house for the displaced families to shelter in. Whichever we can afford.

Aside from this fund we are sending food/clothing barrels and money separately. If you would like to help with tins/packets of food or other supplies to send then please contact me. All residents will share aid and supplies because this is a tight knit community.

Updates, progress and developments will be posted on this site. At the moment, we are gathering funds and planning but as soon as any developments happen, everyone will be informed, on here, with pictures of materials and building work as well.

We are also happy to provide receipts of transfers to Jamaica and evidence of how the money was used. Thank so much for reading this!
