Ananda Beem (22) was my niece, and one of my best friends. She was an amazing young woman with the most beautiful soul. Ananda had the ability to literally light up the room with her smile and larger than life love. 

My family received devastating news Saturday morning, December 23rd, 2017 with the passing of our beloved Ananda. While on a trip to Marshalltown, Iowa from Port St. Lucie, Florida, my family was involved in an accident. Immediately after the initial accident, my family was safe and okay as they gathered to talk with the other driver and check on the well-being of others involved in the crash. Shortly after, a semi-truck attempting to go around the accident we can only assume, struck both of my nieces, killing Ananda at the scene. My youngest niece, Jaden (14) was transported to a  St. Louis area hospital.

Jaden suffered many facial fractures and broke her pelvis in multiple places and many stitches, though she is injured, she is alive! For that, we are so thankful!

My family truly appreciates all of the love, prayers and words of encouragement we have received the last few days and we cannot possibly express our gratitude!

The donations received will go to helping with memorial services and arrangements for Ananda, to ensure that she is laid to rest properly with the service and celebration of life that she deserves. Also, Jaden remains in the hospital recovering from the accident. Additional donations received will help with many of the hospital expenses as well as Jaden's recovery.

Again, I can't begin to thank you all enough for the kind words and love sent to our family during this tragic time. We would like to thank you in advance for the support and prayers.
