On May 31, a devastating fire broke out in the middle of the night at Bar Peached, causing over a million dollars in damage to this beloved Austin restaurant. The impact has been felt deeply as Bar Peached has long been a favorite spot for celebrations, gatherings, and everyday meals. The restaurant now faces significant damage and while it has an insurance policy, it is very likely the cost to fully rebuild will not be covered. Additionally, while certain employees are compensated for a period following the fire, Bar Peached is looking to retain these individuals and compensate them beyond that timeline.

Bar Peached is more than just a restaurant—it's a place where memories have been made. From engagements and birthday parties to casual dinners under the century-old oak, it has brought people together. The founder, Eric Silverstein, started the Peached Tortilla concept in a food truck in 2010. Through years of dedication and resilience, Eric grew his dream into several cherished Austin locations, from Peached Tortilla to the airport, including Bar Peached. His journey hasn't been easy, but he has always persevered, even through the challenges of the destructive pandemic.
