The BTS Thanksgiving Project

My daughter and I both love the band BTS. Their message of love, acceptance and positivity is infectious. And their jams are sick.
So in thinking about a way to help our community during the holiday season of 2020, those three letters of B, T and S stuck in my head.
"BTS" in our project name stands for "Best Turkey Sandwich". This is an effort by the Wilhelm Family to serve 50 homeless mothers & children of Austin the absolute BEST turkey sandwich during Thanksgiving week.
We will assemble 50 kits that have the following items - a phenomenal Turkey sandwich, a $50 grocery gift card, Advil, hand sanitizer, face covering mask, small water bottle, socks, toothbrush & toothpaste.
This GoFundMe will run from Tuesday November 10 - Monday November 23. We will use the funds to procure all the items on Tuesday 11/24. And then on 11/27 - 11/28 we will drive to various places in the Austin community to hand deliver our "Best Turkey Sandwich" kits to 50 people.
Our cost projection for each kit comes to $71.50. And after factoring in GoFundMe fees (and gift card fees) we believe that our goal of $3,750 will allow us to serve 50 humans in Austin that need help.
Any excess over $3,750 will be donated to the Austin Shelter for Women and Children.
