My name is Ayreka Plowden, and I’m a 35-year-old widow raising two beautiful boys—William (10) and Cory II (8). They are my everything, and my biggest motivation to get healthier and stronger.

Over the years, I’ve faced many health challenges, including arthritis in my back, hips, and legs, plantar fasciitis, and multiple slipped/bulging discs. These conditions make even daily tasks painful, and they’ve taken away some of the activities I love. On top of that, I’m working to lower my blood pressure and fight against a family history of congestive heart failure.

The next step in my journey is returning to the HealthPlex Gym, where I’ll have access to water aerobics and other pool-based exercises that are safe for my body and will help me rebuild my strength and mobility. I also hope to renew my alkaline water subscription with Prima Elements, which has helped me in the past stay hydrated and energized.
