On September 26, 2014, Mexican Government forces, in collusion with organized crime - together, "The NarcoState" - in Iguala, Guerrero, Mexico, forcibly disappeared 43 students from the Raúl Isidro Burgos Rural Teachers' College of Ayotzinapa, Guerrero.
Since then, the 43 families, the students, and people of Mexico and the World in solidarity, have been demanding their safe return to their families, or in its defect, a plausible explanation of their fate, along with prosecution of responsible parties.
Ayotzinapa has come to symbolize the greed and corruption of the Mexican Government at all levels, in its collusion with drug cartels.
But it also implicates all those who stand by – with eyes closed – seeing nothing because they are unwilling to become aware that there is corruption knocking down their door.
