Ava’s Road to Recovery

Hi, my name is Kyle and I’ve started this fundraiser to help my Sister and Avas Father with medical bills, as well as other expenses due to having to travel to and from Helen Devos while Ava is being treated. My sister is currently not getting paid for the time she has to take off to be with Ava, Ted also is not being paid. So, in addition to medical bills, they will have expenses they each need to pay themselves, which will be difficult with not having a paycheck coming in for the upcoming week(s).

Ava is a little gem, I call her Ava Bava. She has a grin to die for, a smile to kill for and a laugh that you just can’t help to laugh at.

Ava arrived at Helen Devos on Sunday, after going to her Pediatrician and then stating it was a common cold. As she was not improving my sister brought Ava to Helen Devos on Sunday. She has 3 viruses, which are kicking her little butt. RSV, Rhino Virus and Pneumonia in her left lung. She will be getting a drainage tube in hopes of getting most of the fluid out of her left lung so she can breathe properly without needing oxygen. At 2.5 years old, she is being a trooper. It is expected that she will be at Helen Devos for the remainder of the week, into the weekend and possibly longer depending on how her body is handling the treatments provided.

Anything donated would be given to my sister, Mikayla, as well as Avas father, Ted for any expenses related to this unfortunate circumstance.

We do not generally ask for help due to us being raised to figure things out on our own, though this truly will help alleviate any un-needed stress.
