"The best way to find yourself is to loose yourself in the service of others."
What a year it has been! While riding the wave of life I did notice something was missing...
I have long wanted to use my medical education and experience for a humanitarian cause and was inspired by a dear friend who recently volunteered for Partners For Belize doing the construction aspect of their bi-annual mission (where they built a house in 5 days!) Inspired by his experience and in need of a way to give back, I have decided to apply for the Winter 2020 Medical Mission with Partners for Belize.
The organization makes it very easy to be of service, bring value to those in need, and the tax deductible funds that I'm raising will go towards construction and medical expenses for this incredible mission put on by the organization.
The days are long and packed full of patient intake exams, village outreach, and surgeries. I'm hoping to be able to use my experience as a phlebotomist/medical-surgical assistant to bring value to this organization's cause and the children and families, of a beautiful country, who are just not as fortunate as we are.
Thank you for any little bit that you can help donate! Even $5 helps!
For those who also might be interested in going with me they are in need of ALL types of volunteers for the medical AND construction teams!
